David Jurik

Diesel fitter by trade, Dave has been a part of the mining industry for the last 10 years. Within this time he’s had exposure to a wide variety of mobile plant and equipment, and also the different roles that comes with that including field maintenance, breakdowns, component rebuilding and machine demobilisation. He is new to the sales game but his knowledge on components and machinery help him provide efficient service when dealing with customers directly on site.

Peter has lived and worked in Mackay and the Bowen Basin area for the last 19 years, starting off in the gas industry then completing his Diesel Fitter apprenticeship locally at a Mackay-based workshop. Peter went on to work for several OEM companies, working his way up to workshop leading hand, and eventually workshop supervisor in a component rebuild center. With his extensive knowledge & experience, Peter is involved with many aspects of the Minespec Parts business, including sales, customer assistance/support and quality assurance on the product that is being delivered.

We welcome Peter to our family owned business and his extensive knowledge within the fields of Maintenance, Quality control measures, dedication to excellence all of which value add to our business of turning your surplus to purpose here at Minespec Parts.

Michael O'Connor

General Manager (NSW)


Michael has lived and worked in Singleton and the Hunter valley all his life, Fitter and Turner by trade, as well as completing his Mechanical Engineering Certificate. He has a total of 40 years experience in the mining industry, including 20 years working for mining companies as a CHPP fitter, supervisor, Dozer Operator, and also a 2 year stint driving dump trucks.

Of the last 20 years, he has spent 6 years working for himself and the other 14 years working for major companies in dismantling mining equipment, including Sales and BDM Roles.

The Coal Mining Industry has been all he has known, and has provided Mick and his family with so many opportunities through the roles he has undertaken, as well as the many contacts made along the way.

He now looks forward to another fantastic opportunity to work for Minespec Parts (with Simon Ross and the Team), looking after the NSW branch and providing a professional service based on years of experience in the Industry.

Shaun Murphy

Warehouse Manager (NSW)


Shaun has worked in the mining industry for over 20 years. He spent four and a half years with Gough & Gilmore working in their warehouse, mostly on 12-hour shifts involving all aspects of warehousing and after hours sales. Following this, he began his roll as Warehouse Manager and Storeman with Best Tractor Parts in the Hunter Valley, NSW, in which he worked and gained experience for over 16 years.
